Cash back credit cards allow you to get back some cash back on your purchases. In other words, instead of collecting points or airline miles, each month you get a percentage of your purchases, which is usually about 0.5% - 2% of your net expenditure. Sometimes the percentage is as high as 5%, but this usually concerns purchases within a given category such as groceries, gas, eating out, etc. The amount of money you get back usually depends on the type of purchase and merchant. What is more, if you manage to pay your bill in full each month, you are likely to avoid interest. Compare available offers and see which one is best for you.
